World Bank 25, published a report showing, for the first quarter of 2010, global new launched including anti-dumping, countervailing and Rams at, temporary import restrictions on trade remedies, year-over-year decline by 20 percent.
According to the Bank on the day of release monitoring global trade protection measures for the provisional trade barriers database report, the fourth quarter of 2009, the global trade relief in year-over-year decrease was approximately 20 per cent. In the first quarter of 2010, the World Trade Organization has 13 members launch new trade remedy investigations, including, developing members initiated a new investigation accounted for 74%, the rest is developed members. Chinese exporters continued to trade remedy investigations case number one goal, there are about 47 per cent of new investigations against China.
The report states that in the previous quarter, launched in the first quarter of this year to complete the survey, only 60.9 per cent of the cases the final implementation of the new trade relief measures. In the first quarter of 2010, seven economies to complete the survey, but have not set up a new trade barrier.
The report shows that the current financial crisis and economic recession occurred, trade protectionism, trade remedies, a significant increase in the third quarter of 2009 reached a peak. As the economy recovers, the fourth quarter of last year the number of trade protection cases begin to come down.
