India is 10 million bales of cotton issue export permits

According to industry sources, the Government of India had begun to exports to Pakistan and Bangladesh in the cotton issue permits.

First of all for about 12 exporters about 100,000 bales of cotton issue permits. All cotton exports will be charged RS. 2500/Mt import or export duties.

Foreign Trade Directorate-General (DGFT) has received approximately 130 million bales of cotton export permit applications, these cotton in prohibited export before registration.

In May this year, the Government brought cotton, cotton waste, carded or combed cotton column in the list of items that the export restrictions, each batch exported will require a permit from the Directorate General for trade.

The aim is to improve the domestic cotton supply, reduce the price. But April 19 stop new registration, the exporter is informed, textile specialist will re-evaluate previously registered export contract.
