Since August 1, 2010, the People's Republic of China Government and the Government of the Republic of Chile free trade agreement on trade in services of supplementary agreement (i.e. Chile free trade area in services and trade agreements).
It is understood that the Chilean two countries in 2008, April 13, signed the agreement. Under the agreement, China's computer, management consulting, real estate, mining, environment, sport, air, etc. 23 sectors and subsectors, and Chile's law, architecture, engineering, computer science, research and development, real estate, advertising, management consulting, mining, manufacturing, leasing, distribution, education, environment, tourism, sport, air, 37 sectors and sub-sectors in the respective WTO commitments on the basis of the further opening to the other party.
The Chinese Ministry of Commerce International Division in the interview, said that the implementation of the agreement will help both countries to further reciprocal opening of services markets, increase the complement and enhance the international competitiveness and contribute to improving the investment environment, and create business opportunities, lower transaction costs for both enterprises and people bring more benefits; will also contribute to the development of the various areas of cooperation, development cooperation in all areas, improving the level of cooperation, promoting a comprehensive partner relationship.
Since 1970, and Chile since the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries has maintained a good, stable bilateral relations. 18 November 2005 signing of the Chile Chile free trade agreement (including trade in goods), and from 1 October 2006.
